Role: Control Centre Coordinator
Location: Barnsley, S75 1JN (office-based)
Starting Salary: circa £25,800 (depending on experience)
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that planned and reactive works across over 1,000 Ministry of Defence sites are undertaken at just the right time to minimise disruption to our valued customers. And with a network that covers a third of the UK, we’ve got a big job on our hands! That’s why we’re looking for a process-driven, resilient and customer-focused individual to join our welcoming and supportive team. You’ll be coordinating repair and maintenance jobs and liaising with customers and operational staff to see each job through to completion. You’ll also be responsible for making sure that jobs are recorded accurately, progressed to deadline and delivered to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Answering and recording calls and emails within specific timeframes
- Co-managing a busy email inbox for both internal and external customers
- Capturing detailed information from customer contact and entering this into our system
- Making sure all jobs are logged, allocated to field staff, progressed and resolved within timeframes
- Effectively scheduling works to our operational teams
- Managing job feedback in our IT system
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong administration and IT skills which will include MS Office
- Demonstrable experience of working to SLAs (service level agreements)
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers
- The desire to improve processes, succeed as part of a team and meet deadlines
- The ability to multitask effectively
- A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to keep calm under pressure and tackle changing priorities with ease
About you:
Due to the nature of sites we work on, the successful candidate must meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- You must have been a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years
