About The Role

Role: Jetting Team Leader

Location: Field-Based – Bristol, Cardiff or Gloucester with travel across our operational area as required

Salary: circa £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time - Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week plus stand-by rota

Expanding our Operations & Maintenance team, we’re seeking a Jetting Team Leader with demonstrable management and water industry experience to lead a brand-new team of Jetting Operatives across our vast operational area (check out the Areas we operate - Ancala Water Services). Using your comprehensive wastewater experience, you’ll lead reactive and planned maintenance initiatives across our network to deliver an efficient and effective customer service. You’ll be a skilled leader who brings both operational and technical knowledge, along with the ability to forge trusted working relationships with internal and external customers. This will be a critical role for Ancala Water Services to ensure we continue with our compliance to regulatory requirements, customer service standards and deliver financial and performance outcomes.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Championing our Health, Safety & Wellbeing culture by ensuring adherence to SWP’s and performing RA’s and investigations where necessary
  • Leading a team of six field-based Jetting Operators with individual reactive and preventative objectives
  • Monitoring, delivering and evaluating company-wide high-pressure jetting maintenance plans across our wastewater network
  • Ensuring local and national operational objectives are met and SLAs are upheld to avoid financial penalties and ensure our networks run as efficiently as possible
  • Liaising with the wider business and ensuring working relationships are developed, such as those with our Asset Management, Control Centre, Finance, Procurement and HR teams

What You’ll Bring:

  • Extensive technical wastewater experience and knowledge of proactive and reactive network maintenance
  • Strong background, understanding and experience of health and safety practices with the ability to recognise risk and hazards
  • Comprehensive field-based team management experience with the ability to deliver results through others
  • Ability to deliver operational requirements to meet challenging targets and deadlines
  • An intermediate IT skillset with experience of using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong and effective internal and external relationships
 Our ideal candidate will have stacks of wastewater experience, gained from either a private company or a statutory undertaker. You’ll know all about high-pressure jetting, related Health & Safety and you’ll hold a Water Jetting Association card, though this is not a deal breaker. You’ll be an experienced people manager who has managed field-based teams and you’ll be comfortable with overnight stays to allow you attend our different sites as required across England and Wales. About You:
Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate must:
  • Have lived continuously within the UK for at least the last 5 years
  • Be able to obtain Security Clearance which involves a Criminal Record Check and a full MoD Security Application and associated verification processes
  • Possess a full, valid driving licence and be comfortable driving a company van
