Role: Assurance Administrator
Location: Barnsley, S75 1JN (office-based with hybrid working after successful probation)
Salary: circa £26,000 per annum, depending on experience
Role Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract, Full-Time – Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Ancala Water Services is a private utilities company delivering clean and wastewater services to over 1,000 Ministry of Defence sites across England and Wales. With our network spanning a third of the UK, we play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly.
We're looking for a proactive, data-driven and detail-oriented administrator to join our high-performing Assurance team to support with varied and evolving administration duties. In this role, you'll help manage document control, business management systems and be a crucial support to the busy team. Whether you’ve held a similar role before or are looking to apply your strong administrative skills in a new setting, we’d love to hear from you. And as this is a fixed-term position, we’re looking for someone to hit the ground running and get stuck in from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out Assurance tasks in line with our policies and procedures
- Providing general office support including, but not limited to, scanning, filing, data entry and post sorting
- Accurately inputting and validating data (e.g., meter reads, invoices) into our database
- Raising internal service requests in the Work Management system and assisting with planned meter read validation
- Maintaining training materials and supporting with data checks
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrable administrative experience in a busy role and team
- A flexible and proactive approach to your work with a can-do mentality
- High standard of IT literacy with an intermediate understanding of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong numeracy and data skills – the ability to feel at ease with data and figures is essential
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal and with good interpersonal skills
- The ability to task switch, work independently and take ownership of your work

Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate must:
- Meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes, but is not limited to, undergoing a UK Security Vetting, full residency and background check and DBS check
